CBS Sports Radio to Air Live Shows From NYC for Super Bowl XLVIII

And our final Super Bowl-centric post at least for now deals with CBS Sports Radio’s plans for this week. CBS Sports Radio, a joint venture between CBS Sports and Cumulus Radio, will have its weekday lineup broadcast live New York City to cover the Big Game.

The shows that begin at 6 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. ET will air live from Radio Row in the Sheraton Times Square. Some nighttime and weekend shows will also air from NYC.

Live Coverage And Timely Interviews From Well-Known Hosts Will Originate From New York City

CBS Sports Radio, which features top name sports broadcasters and is available on more than 300 stations nationwide, is going uptown with a wide range of programming originating from New York/New Jersey in anticipation of Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, February 2 at MetLife Stadium.

Beginning on Monday, Jan. 27 (6:00AM, ET) with the morning show featuring Tiki Barber, Brandon Tierney and Dana Jacobson, CBS Sports Radio will be on-site in New York City interviewing athletes, coaches, former players and celebrities, and discussing predictions and news relating to the biggest game in sports.  The hosts will engage with fans and listeners over-the-air, streaming online at www.cbssportsradio.com and through the Radio.com and CBS Sports apps for mobile devices.

The live broadcast continues with midday host John Feinstein (9:00AM-12:00 Noon, ET), afternoon host Jim Rome (12:00Noon-3:00 PM, ET) and afternoon drive Doug Gottlieb (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) live from Super Bowl XLVIII media headquarters. These programs will be heard from the site of the action Monday, Jan. 27 – Friday, Jan 31.

Additionally, MoJo with Chris Moore and Brian Jones will broadcast their evening program (6:00-10:00 PM, ET) from Wednesday, Jan. 29 – Friday, Jan. 31, injecting some humor along with hard-hitting interviews. Further, John Kincade will host his weekend show Saturday, Feb. 1 (10:00AM-2:00PM, ET) from New York City.

In addition to CBS Sports Radio, CBS RADIO sports stations including 98.5 The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM, Boston), 670 The Score (WSCR-AM, Chicago), 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM, Dallas), Sports Radio 610 (KILT-AM, Houston), WFAN-AM/FM (New York), 98.7 The Fan (WHFS-FM, Tampa) and 106.7 The Fan (WJFK-FM, Washington, D.C.) will be on-hand to cover all of the pre-game action.
